1. University Overview:

Founded in 1992 and named after the renowned Georgian poet Grigol Robakidze, Grigol Robakidze University (GRUNI) is a private institution in Tbilisi recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and India’s National Medical Commission (NMC). The School of Medicine provides a six-year Medical Doctor (MD) program in English, integrating Georgian language modules for clinical practice, and accepts students from across the globe.

2. Course Duration

The MD program spans six academic years (360 ECTS):
- Years 1–2: Pre-clinical foundations (Cell Biology, Medical Genetics, Medical Physics, Histology & Embryology, Biochemistry, Professional Latin, Health Promotion, Scientific Research I)
- Year 3: Para-clinical studies (Pathological Anatomy, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology I & II, Clinical Microbiology, Parasitology, Clinical Methods & OSCE)
- Years 4–5: Clinical rotations (Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Community Medicine, Dermatology, ENT, Ophthalmology)
- Year 6: Supervised 48-week internship with rotations across all core specialties and the State Final Examination (OSCE & viva)
