1. University Overview:
Founded in 1995, Caucasus International University (CIU) in Tbilisi is a private institution recognized by WHO and India’s National Medical Commission (NMC). CIU offers a six-year MBBS program fully in English with integrated Georgian language training, hosting over 7,400 students across Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Rehabilitation faculties. It maintains MOUs with over 40 global universities for exchanges and research.
2. Course Duration
The MBBS program spans six years:
- Years 1–2: Pre-clinical sciences (Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Biochemistry) + Georgian language modules
- Year 3: Para-clinical subjects (Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology)
- Years 4–5: Clinical rotations in Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics at the 500-bed teaching hospital and partner clinics
- Year 6: 48-week supervised internship and State Final Examination (OSCE & viva)
Medium of instruction: English, with Georgian taught concurrently for clinical practice.
3. Documents Required
- Letter of Acceptance & Admission Letter
- Valid passport (minimum 18 months validity) + notarized Georgian translation
- Apostilled & translated 10th & 12th grade mark sheets (PCB)
- NEET-UG scorecard (for Indian students) or affidavit if NEET-exempt
- Medical fitness certificate & HIV-negative report
- Bank statement (6 months) & sponsorship letter
- Police clearance certificate
- 8–10 passport-sized photographs

6. Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum age: 17 years by December 31 of admission year
- Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (40% for reserved categories)
- NEET-UG qualification mandatory for Indian students
- English-medium program; no IELTS/TOEFL required
